Barredora industrial autonoma
Star50 Industrial Robotic Floor Sweeper — POLARX STAR50

PolarX Robotics Star50 is an autonomous robot sweeper and vacuum for large warehouses, factories and logistics sites. It sweeps and vacuums dry dust and debris from concrete and epoxy floors without water, and its 333 mm body reaches under racking and machinery. In real sites it covers about 1,000 m² per hour, or roughly 3,000–4,000 m² per charge.
Key advantages

What does a robotic floor sweeper do?
A robotic floor sweeper is an autonomous machine that removes dry contamination from floors: dust, sand, gravel, wood chips, metal shards, packaging debris and fine particles. Unlike a robotic floor scrubber, it does not dispense water or detergent, so there are no tanks to fill, no wastewater to drain and no squeegees to maintain. Floors stay dry and usable throughout cleaning.
In industrial environments, this matters. Warehouses and factories generate dry debris continuously, and applying water to dusty floors can turn dry particles into slurry. Star50 uses rotating brushes, a 200W brushless vacuum and dual HEPA filtration to sweep and collect debris into a 30L dustbin, covering up to 1,750 square metres per hour with a 333mm profile that reaches under racking and equipment.
If your facility also needs targeted wet cleaning for oil or sticky residue, see our guide on robotic floor scrubbers vs waterless cleaning robots.

Why Star50 for Low-Clearance Warehouses
Gets under racking and equipment.
At 333mm high, Star50 reaches the dust that collects under pallet racking, conveyors and machinery, where ride-on sweepers cannot go.
Switches to manual in seconds.
With HybridSense™, an operator lifts the handle to guide Star50 through tight areas, then returns it to a mapped location and it carries on with the autonomous task.
Works offline.
Star50 runs without a constant network connection, which suits sites with patchy Wi-Fi or strict IT policies.
60-second maintenance.
A quick-release main brush, magnetic side brushes and two separately replaceable HEPA panels keep routine service short and tool-free.
Robotic Floor Sweeper vs Ride-On and Manual Sweeping
Most warehouses moving away from manual sweeping are weighing three options. Here is how they compare on the factors that drive daily cost and floor quality.
| Factor | Star50 robotic floor sweeper | Ride-on sweeper | Manual or walk-behind sweeping |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operator needed | No – starts with one button and runs autonomously | Yes, a trained driver for the whole run | Yes, for the whole run |
| Cleans under racking and equipment | Yes – 333mm body | No | Partly, by hand |
| Coverage rate | Up to 1,750 m²/h | High in open aisles | Low |
| Control de polvo | 200W vacuum with dual HEPA filtration | Varies by model | Often stirs up airborne dust |
| Out-of-hours cleaning | Yes, with auto-docking | Needs a driver on shift | Needs staff on shift |
| Ideal para | Daily sweeping of aisles, racking and low-clearance areas | Large open areas and heavy debris loads | Spot cleaning and small areas |
Star50 is designed to take over routine daily sweeping, so a ride-on machine, if you have one, can be kept for heavy clean-ups.
How Much Floor Can Star50 Sweep Per Charge?
Star50 sweeps up to 1,750 m² per hour with a 750mm cleaning width, and its 24V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery runs for 3–4 hours. That gives a theoretical coverage of about 5,250–7,000 m² per charge.
Real-world coverage is lower because of turns, racking ends and obstacles.
Sizing example: sweeping 10,000 m² once a day takes Star50 about 6 hours at its maximum rate, or two charges.
Built to Work Around People and Forklifts
Star50 navigates with high-precision LiDAR, backed by physical bumper sensors for contact detection. A directed airflow keeps dust off the LiDAR window, helping navigation stay stable in dusty aisles. The drivetrain includes anti-slip hill hold and an automatic brake.
For busy sites, Star50 can be fitted with an optional depth camera and low- or high-level warning lights, making it easier for forklift drivers and pedestrians to see.
How reliable is Star50?
Star50 is designed so that the faults that usually stop a cleaning robot either can’t happen or are quick to fix.
- No carbon brushes to wear out: the drive, brush and vacuum motors are all brushless.
- Maintenance mistakes are blocked: the vacuum fan won’t start if a HEPA panel is missing or seated incorrectly.
- No network dependence: maps and tasks are stored on the robot, so it keeps cleaning if Wi-Fi drops.
- Warranty: una garantía limitada del producto de 2 años o 3.000 horas de funcionamiento (lo que ocurra primero) y 3 años para la batería.
How Much Does a Robotic Floor Sweeper Cost?
PolarX quotes Star50 per site rather than publishing a list price. The total depends on how many units your floor area needs, purchase or lease, the options you choose and the service plan. The options are the depth camera, warning lights and microfibre main brush.
A useful way to set a budget is to start from the sweeping hours Star50 would take off your team.
Worked example: one warehouse, one Star50
- Area swept daily
- 6,000 m² of aisles and racking areas
- Star50 time
- About 6 hours at its real-world rate of about 1,000 m²/h, on two charges
- Manual sweeping today
- 3 hours a day, 6 days a week = 936 hours a year
- Hours Star50 takes over
- 80%, about 750 hours a year. Staff keep about 35 minutes a day for emptying the bin, brush checks and tight edges.
- Labour value
- About AUD $22,260 a year at AUD $29.73/h, the base wage PolarX uses in its ROI models. Employer on-costs make the real figure higher.
- Budget this supports
- About AUD $22,000 for a 12-month payback, or about AUD $44,500 over 24 months
Running costs are low. The main consumables are brushes and the two HEPA panels, which are replaced separately as each one loads up rather than as a pair. Power is minor too. The battery holds about 0.72 kWh (24 V × 30 Ah). Two full charges a day, six days a week, comes to roughly 520 kWh a year, which is about AUD $155 at AUD $0.30/kWh.

Preguntas frecuentes
What is a robotic floor sweeper?+
A robotic floor sweeper is an autonomous machine that removes dry debris from floors – dust, sand, gravel, wood chips, metal shards and packaging waste – without water or detergent. It maps the site, follows its cleaning route on its own, collects debris in an onboard bin and returns to its dock to recharge.
What is the difference between a robotic floor sweeper and a robotic floor scrubber?+
A robotic floor sweeper cleans dry, using brushes and vacuum suction, so there are no water tanks or wastewater and the floor stays usable. A robotic floor scrubber applies water and detergent and recovers dirty water, which suits oil and sticky residue. In dusty warehouses and factories, dry sweeping avoids turning dust into slurry.
How much does a robotic floor sweeper cost?+
Cost depends on machine size, sensors, docking, software and the service plan. Star50 is available to purchase. Most buyers judge it on payback from the labour hours it saves: use the PolarX ROI calculator or request a quote for your site.
How much area can a robotic floor sweeper cover per charge?+
Star50 sweeps up to 1,750 m² per hour and runs for 3–4 hours per charge, a theoretical maximum of about 5,250–7,000 m². Real-world coverage depends on layout, racking and obstacles.
Can a robotic floor sweeper clean under warehouse racking?+
Star50 can. At 333mm high, it sweeps under racking, conveyors and machinery wherever the clearance is higher than that, reaching dust that ride-on sweepers and manual sweeping usually miss.
Is a robotic floor sweeper safe around forklifts and people?+
Star50 detects obstacles with high-precision LiDAR and physical bumper sensors, and its drivetrain has anti-slip hill hold and an automatic brake. Optional warning lights and a depth camera add visibility and detection in busy aisles. Sites can also run Star50 outside peak forklift hours.
Does Star50 need Wi-Fi to operate?+
No. Star50 supports offline operation, so it keeps cleaning on sites with weak or restricted networks. Remote deployment and access integration are also available.
What floors can a robotic floor sweeper clean?+
Star50 handles concrete, epoxy-coated floors and commercial carpet without complicated adjustment. On carpet it provides routine dust control and light debris pickup between deep cleans; it is not a carpet extractor or wet scrubber.
How much maintenance does a robotic floor sweeper need?+
Routine service on Star50 takes about 60 seconds per task. The main brush is quick-release, the side brushes attach magnetically, the dustbin rolls out on castors, and the two HEPA panels can be replaced separately as they load up. Brushless drive, brush and vacuum motors avoid carbon-brush servicing.
What warranty does Star50 come with?+
Star50 incluye una garantía completa de 2 años o 3.000 horas de funcionamiento (lo que ocurra primero), excluidos los consumibles, y una garantía de 3 años para la batería. Las condiciones pueden variar según el país o la región.
