FAQ
Practical buyer questions about waterless commercial floor care robots.
Clear answers for facility managers, operations teams and commercial cleaning buyers evaluating Star60 and Star50.
Questions and answers
What makes PolarX different from traditional cleaning robots?+
PolarX starts from commercial cleaning operations, not only robotics. The system is designed around waterless floor care, instant-dry operation, lower maintenance complexity and long-term usability in real facilities.
Does PolarX use water?+
PolarX focuses on waterless daily floor care. Star60 uses mechanical waterless polishing, sweeping and vacuuming, while Star50 is an industrial autonomous sweeper. Targeted wet cleaning may still be required for specific heavy spills or stubborn contamination.
Why is waterless cleaning important?+
Waterless cleaning helps reduce wet-floor risk, water marks, wastewater handling, water-system maintenance and cleaning disruption in high-traffic commercial spaces.
Can PolarX robots clean carpets?+
Yes, PolarX can support routine commercial carpet care depending on the facility and cleaning requirement. Star60 is designed for both hard-floor and carpeted areas, using sweeping, vacuuming and a roller brush grooming module to help capture fine dust, maintain appearance and reduce odours during daily floor care. Star50 can also operate on commercial carpets as part of industrial sweeping applications. PolarX robots are not intended to replace specialist wet extraction or deep carpet restoration for heavy staining, spills or periodic deep-cleaning requirements.
What is the 95/5 Cleaning Strategy?+
It is the idea that most commercial floors require frequent visual maintenance, dust control, light debris removal, floor appearance maintenance and instant dryness. Only a smaller portion of situations require targeted wet cleaning or manual deep cleaning.
Which facilities are suitable for Star60?+
Star60 is suitable for commercial buildings, retail spaces, healthcare facilities, education facilities, gyms, hotels, offices, airports and other open indoor commercial environments.
Which facilities are suitable for Star50?+
Star50 is suitable for warehouses, factories, logistics centres, distribution centres, racking systems, equipment lines, narrow aisles, concrete floors, epoxy floors and commercial carpets.
Can PolarX reduce labour pressure?+
PolarX is designed to reduce repetitive manual cleaning passes and support facility teams. It does not replace every cleaning task, but it helps reduce routine floor care workload.
Is PolarX suitable for occupied environments?+
Star60 operates below 65 dB and is designed for use during business hours or overnight in occupied commercial environments. Star50 is also designed for industrial reliability and operator-friendly use.
Does PolarX support ESG goals?+
PolarX supports ESG and resource efficiency by reducing routine water use, wastewater handling, chemical use and maintenance complexity during daily floor care.
How can I book a demo?+
